The holidays just keep sneaking up on me and this year even more so. I recently had a little emergency and was told to take it easy for the next 6 weeks. Take it easy! During the holiday season? Attic decorations, garage storage bins, Christmas trees to set up, garland to hang, presents to wrap, food to bake! And holiday content to create.
As stubborn as I’d like to be, a healthy mom, wife, daughter, and friend is taking priority and we’re all reminded just how special family is and how quickly things can change. So I’m taking it easy and that means I get to create fun little things for all of you! No lifting required.
Well, for all of you and for my kids who will be home in just a little while with a new snowman craft to do with mom.

At this moment the Christmas countdown is staring me in the face with giant numbers ready to count down if I even dare blink. And I did. I blinked. I blinked and my babies grew into toddlers with feet pajamas. I blinked and they went from carseats to booster seats to buckling themselves in. I blinked and one turned into a teenager. I blinked!
So today we have umteen days until Christmas. Umteen beautiful days to not stress about what needs to get done but to just enjoy each others company, because I’ll only get one Christmas with them as this age. Just as I did when they were teeny tiny. And this age is a great age to help mom bake, decorate cookies, and hang holiday decorations to light up the house inside and out.
Really what I’m saying is to hug your family tight and enjoy the little moments. Whether they are small, medium, or big kids, every age and stage you get to spend with them is a special gift to be cherished.
I wish you all love, health, and a wonderful holiday season with the ones who matter most.
