Tips For The Perfect Patty

This recipe does come with a bit of a learning curve when it comes to making/flipping the patty. First off, make sure that the pan is fully heated and generously coated with cooking oil so that the cottage cheese mixture does not stick. Next, spoon the mixture into the pan and use a small spatula to help form the patty.

Once the patty is browned on the first side (and flipped), it’ll be easier to use the back of the spatula to flatten it a bit more.

Tips for flipping the patty- Since the patty is soft, the flip comes with a learning curve.

  • Make sure the pan is heated fully to medium
  • Generously coat with cooking oil (may need to add more for the second or third batch)
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan
  • Use the pan sides to help push the patty onto the spatula for an easier flip.
  • A smaller spatula can be helpful
