Homemade peanut butter brownies from scratch. Easy follow along recipe that’ll curb your chocolate and peanut butter craving.

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut of stuffing brownies with normal things like nuts and chocolate candies. But combining chocolate and peanut butter together is something that just makes sense.
Now our family enjoys brownies that are not too sweet and have a gooey texture in the center while still being crunchy along the edges and top. The perfect after school snack or dessert that’ll have the kids extra excited to come home after a busy day at school.
Once the kids are in bed we can take this one step further by getting a bowl of vanilla ice cream and breaking up this fresh brownie on top.
Oi, is my waistline in trouble.

Three types of brownies-
There are three types of brownies you can choose from. The cake like brownies that are light, airy, and more of a cake sponge. The fudge kind that are more dense and gooey in the center, and chewy brownies that are a little bit of both.
No matter your preference everything about brownies matter. Whether you melt or soften your butter. Choosing butter over oil. Adding baking powder vs. no baking powder and even granulated sugar vs. confectioners sugar. It can be a bit overwhelming with so many different ways to make them and everyone having their own little secrets.
But we’ll keep this recipe simple while making the perfect chewy brownie with crunchy edges and a soft center.
